Own Your Learning is an evolving project that explores how students engage with learning in an AI-influenced world. Through carefully designed activities and reflective prompts, we’re uncovering how students think, respond, and adapt—so educators can better support meaningful learning.
We’re not just tracking change—we’re designing with it.

Own Your Learning is an emerging research initiative exploring how students engage with generative AI and other digital tools in their studies. Our goal is to understand student experiences, thinking habits, and challenges — and use these insights to co-create approaches that support meaningful, reflective learning.
It’s not just about the tools — it’s about how you use them to shape your thinking and your future.
Beyond the Bot
Beyond the Bot is a SoTL project under Own Your Learning that explores how students engage with generative AI tools in their learning. It aims to help students critically and ethically use AI by developing interventions that promote critical thinking, responsible use, and academic integrity.
Future Sub-Projects
The future of teaching and learning will be dynamic, personalized, and technology-driven. Educators will harness AI and digital tools to create adaptive learning experiences that meet individual student needs, fostering critical thinking and creativity.
