Overview for Tableau Interactive Data Visualization
Tableau is my primary tool for interactive data visualization and business intelligence reporting. I use Tableau to transform complex datasets into intuitive, actionable dashboards that help stakeholders explore trends, monitor KPIs, and make data-driven decisions. By connecting to multiple data sources, including Excel, SQL databases, and CSV files, I create dynamic visualizations that highlight key insights across industries.
I frequently build interactive dashboards, story points, and drill-down reports to allow users to explore data at multiple levels. Tableau’s drag-and-drop interface, combined with calculated fields, filters, and parameters, enables me to create visualizations that are both informative and engaging.
Skills Demonstrated
- Data visualization: Design clear, interactive dashboards and charts for trend analysis, comparisons, and forecasting.
- Data integration: Connect and blend data from multiple sources to create a unified view of metrics.
- Calculated fields and parameters: Build custom metrics and interactive controls to support deeper insights.
- Storytelling with data: Use Tableau Story Points to guide users through analysis and highlight key findings.
- Dashboard interactivity: Add filters, drop-down menus, and hover-over tooltips to enhance user experience.
